The PTC depends very heavily on parent volunteerism. We are fortunate to have many very dedicated parents who step up each year to run committees, but we are always looking for more help! Below are some great volunteer opportunities we hope you will consider.

Seeking parent volunteers for Buzz Across America
We need help on Fridays at Morning Mingle for the Buzz Across America initiative. This initiative will continue until we make it across the country to California. As a reminder, each student can contribute miles to the journey by earning popsicle sticks one of two ways:

Seeking 1st Grade Cafeteria Volunteers
Parent volunteers help the students get through the lunch line more quickly so that they have ample time to eat and help the 1st graders learn to clean up before the next lunch shift comes in. You can sign-up for as many or as few days as you can offer. To sign up click on the button below:
It is the mission of UDA (Understanding our Different Abilities) to promote understanding, empathy, acceptance, and respect for all people regardless of differing abilities. Through the use of multi-sensory activities, speakers, and discussion with parent volunteers, elementary students are introduced to a broad range of abilities, both visible and invisible, to reinforce that we are all different. Understanding and accepting those differences creates a stronger community.
Each grade focuses on a different topic (click on each topic to see additional information):

It's feeling like spring and it's time for the Hillside Spring Calendar Raffle! For those that are new to Hillside, this is a popular (and major) fundraiser, where multiple raffle prizes are given out each day for a week in early June. In order to make that happen, we need your help in acquiring donations of prizes that we can give out!.
If you have a connection with any local businesses, please consider donating a gift certificate or prize to our raffle! Our kids and families love going to new places in town!
Neighborhood gifts are also a big hit! Consider gathering money with neighbors and purchasing a fun item like movie/dinner gift cards, Beats headphones, sports event tickets, etc.
Please submit donations by May 5 and thanks in advance for helping to make our Spring Raffle a great success!
If you have and questions please contact Jen Leonard-Schaffstein.
Hillside Yearbooks are on sale now until April 17th, 2018. Yearbooks cost $20 each. Ordering only takes a few seconds using the online system.

Consider the Hillside Gift Book program. For a $15 donation that goes directly to the Hillside Media Center, you can get a personalized name plate placed into a specially selected book in the Hillside Media Center. Imagine the look of delight when your child or other honoree sees their name in the front cover of the book!
